Random important fun-facts: I am Ashkenazi Jewish ethnically, and partially religiously/culturally. I was raised Catholic, but am Jewish by blood, and grew up around and within Ashkenazi culture. I have recently decided to return to my Jewish roots, although only culturally and in terms of the rituals associated with Judaism (specifically reform Judaism). I currently consider myself to be a secular and reform Jew. I am also an agnostic atheist, which is to say that I do not believe in God, nor do I believe that it is likely that there is a God, but I would not state that I believe that there is no God definitively. I generally call myself religious but not spiritual, as I do not believe that the spiritual underpinnings of Judaism are true, but I do engage in the ritualistic and cultural practices of Judaism. I would also describe myself as a libertarian leftist, although I usually just call myself a democratic socialist or social democrat depending on who I'm talking to. Once I have written about my economic beliefs, I will link them here. I am very passionate about the rights of LGBTQ+ people, myself being one of them, and am firmly anti-racist, anti-fascist, and anti-authoritarian. I do, however, try to engage with people who disagree with me on a wide-range of topics, insofar as the disagreement is not in terms of the humanity and civil rights of other people. I am also open to change my mind on nearly any topic if a good enough argument is presented to demonstrate why I'm wrong. I firmly believe that I am not right about everything, and its only a matter of time that I find out what I'm wrong about, so I can correct it. I am always seeking to determine what is most likely the truth, and the journey to perfect that truth is never complete (nor should it be!). Fundamentally, all my values come down to a few things I care deeply about: truth, fairness, and justice. My interests and hobbies are below!
